WHAT DEFINES EVERY BAG

Built on Materials, Not Promises

Full-Grain Vegetable-Tanned Leather

The highest grade of leather. Only the top 5% qualify

Full-grain preserves the hideโ€™s natural surface for maximum strength and character. Vegetable tanning uses plant-based tannins and natural waxes, allowing the leather to develop a rich patina over time

Hand-Stitched Saddle Construction

Each stitch set by hand for lasting strength

Saddle stitching uses two needles and a single thread locked at every pass. We use Fil au Chinois, a premium waxed linen thread from France and a gold standard in leathercraft. If one stitch breaks, the rest hold, unlike machine stitching which can unravel.

Solid Brass & Steel Hardware

Solid cast metals. No plating. Built to last

We use solid brass and high-grade steel for lasting strength and reliability. No coatings to wear off โ€” only materials that age with character and retain their integrity over time.

Reinforced LINING

NO MACHINES. JUST CRAFT

4 Essential Stages of Making

01

Material Selection

Hides are selected by hand for their strength, structure, and natural character โ€” never just appearance. Only a small fraction makes the cut.

02

Cut & Formed by Hand

Pieces are cut by hand using steel templates, aligned with the natural grain for optimal strength. No two sections are alike โ€” individuality is built in from the start.

03

Edge Craftsmanship

Edges are shaped, burnished, and sealed through multiple passes โ€” a slow process that builds durability and a refined finish. The result is a smooth, rounded edge that holds over time. Machines canโ€™t match this level of control.

04

Stitching & Construction

Fil Au Chinois waxed linen thread reinforces every stress point. Solid brass hardware is hand-fitted and secured. Each piece undergoes a final inspection โ€” only then is it marked and released.

Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 45 reviews.

Check your computer size carefully. My 14-inch laptop is fine, but this wouldn't be the bag I'd choose for a larger machine. For the gear I currently carry, I'm pleased.

Verathor Backpack

Really pleased with the leather finish. It's heavier in the hand than the lightweight backpack it replaced, which is worth considering if that's your main priority. For my usual short commute, the trade-off works.

Verathor Backpack

The rear pocket is useful for a couple of important small things. I do have to take the backpack off to use it comfortably, so it isn't where I keep anything I need constantly.

Verathor Backpack

Love the old-school look!

Verathor Backpack

Very fond of the leather texture on this one. It gives the whole backpack a lived-in sort of character even though mine is still new.

Verathor Backpack

Glad I went for something with visible stitching. A small change from what I normally buy, but I keep noticing it in a good way.

Verathor Backpack

This works particularly well for train journeys where I'm carrying work gear and a few personal things together. I can keep the little items outside the main compartment, so getting one out doesn't turn into a complete unpacking exercise.

Verathor Backpack

Bought for my son's first office job. He wanted something that could come along on weekends as well, and this seems to have hit the mark. He's particularly happy with the storage.

Verathor Backpack

My main concern was whether I'd actually use a leather backpack every day or save it for particular occasions. Turns out it has fitted into the normal routine very easily. I pack it for work, use the pockets for all the little things I need in between, and carry it out again at the weekend. It has the look I wanted without demanding any special occasion.

Verathor Backpack

Laptop fits. Lunch fits. I'm sorted.

Verathor Backpack

This has become my bag for days when I leave early and won't be home until evening. Work stuff, something warmer to wear later and a few extras all come along. I don't have to decide which small thing to leave behind.

Verathor Backpack

The stitching stands out quite a bit. I like it with casual clothes, but it's a stronger look than I'd normally choose for a very formal office. Keeping it for my commute and days away.

Verathor Backpack

I leave a notebook and charger inside between office days. When it's time to leave, I add the laptop and whatever else I need. It's nice having a bag that feels ready to go instead of starting over every morning.

Verathor Backpack

I used to pack a separate tote whenever I needed an extra layer of clothing. Now I can usually put that in here with my normal daily gear. One less thing to remember at the door.

Verathor Backpack

The outside pockets are doing most of the work for me. Earbuds in one place, small cables in another. Finally stopped poking around underneath my lunch to find either.

Verathor Backpack

Took a few outings to settle on which exterior pocket should hold what. There are more options than I'm used to. Now it works well, though I still occasionally check the wrong one first.

Verathor Backpack

A welcome bit of character in my workday.

Verathor Backpack

The rear zip pocket has become my passport spot on travel days. I like knowing exactly where to reach when I take the bag off.

Verathor Backpack

No wrestling with the main compartment to get my sweater back in. I appreciate the extra room.

Verathor Backpack

adjusted the straps a little shorter and it sits just where i want it. very happy so far

Verathor Backpack

The metal fittings and contrasting thread suit each other really well. Small details, but they're the reason I chose this design over a plainer one.

Verathor Backpack

I keep the things I need during the journey in the outside pockets and the things I need at my destination in the main section. Sounds obvious, but this bag makes that division easy to maintain.

Verathor Backpack

I like that my laptop isn't just sitting loose among everything else. The dedicated space makes the inside feel much more manageable when I'm packing in a hurry.

Verathor Backpack

I was trying to find a backpack that didn't look like gym equipment or something borrowed from a school cupboard. This is much more my taste. It's useful for work, but I actually enjoy the way it looks too. I expect the leather will change as I use it, and that was part of the appeal when I chose it.

Verathor Backpack

Roomy without looking shapeless.

Verathor Backpack

The strap adjustment gives me enough room to change the fit depending on whether I'm wearing a shirt or a jacket. Straightforward and useful.

Verathor Backpack

I travel between two offices and always seem to bring more than I intended. A charger stays at one desk, a notebook gets left at the other, then I'm carrying extra bits to make up for it. This has enough room for that slightly ridiculous routine. The separate laptop space helps, and I like being able to grab the handle when I'm only moving across the room. The styling is a bonus, but a very nice one.

Verathor Backpack

I wanted leather but was unsure about the vintage styling. In person the contrast stitching is my favourite part. It looks a little less anonymous than the bags I usually buy, and I've enjoyed that change. There's plenty of room for my normal working day without having to pack everything in a very particular order.

Verathor Backpack

More character than my last backpack, by a mile.

Verathor Backpack

That slightly rugged appearance is exactly what I was after. Goes well with the jackets I already own, rather than making me feel like I need to dress around a new bag.

Verathor Backpack

I don't usually get excited about a backpack, but I did spend a while looking this one over when it arrived. The shape, the thread against the leather, the metal details. It all works together. More importantly, my work things fit without a struggle, so it hasn't ended up being something I admire and then leave at home.

Verathor Backpack

There are enough pockets that I had to decide where everything should live. Now that I've settled on a system, packing in the morning takes almost no thought.

Verathor Backpack

It feels like a proper change from my thin fabric backpack. I especially like the defined shape; it gives the leather and stitching a bit of presence.

Verathor Backpack

I finally have room for the things I actually take to work. My lunch, notebook and charger were always fighting each other in my old backpack. Much less of that now.

Verathor Backpack

Quite a substantial backpack. I like the structure and the leather, though for a quick outing with just my phone and keys it's more bag than I need. Makes much more sense on a full workday.

Verathor Backpack

Almost ideal for what I need. I'd add a small key clip inside if I could; currently I keep my keys in a pouch. The laptop section and overall capacity are both right for me.

Verathor Backpack

He opened the present, tried it on, then went to get his laptop to see how it fit. I think that tells you how the gift went. Very pleased with the choice.

Verathor Backpack

My 14-inch work laptop has its own compartment, which leaves the rest of the space for the slightly chaotic assortment of things I take everywhere. That's a layout I can get behind.

Verathor Backpack

Good amount of room, but I would personally prefer a brighter interior so I could spot dark cables faster. I've put those in a small pouch and that has helped.

Verathor Backpack

Handsome, practical, happily using it.
